Local law firm Ogier have been incredibly supportive to CLIP through their CSR programme.

Not only do they support the committee with various administrative and Governance tasks (minuting meetings, registering and filing formal governance documents, etc.) but they have also donated several laptop computers to allow prisoners to continue their learning on release from prison.

Although many prisoners have lower academic levels than the general population we nevertheless have several others who are capable of successfully taking up higher learning courses – including A levels, distance learning certificate and diploma courses and currently 4 people who are undertaking Open University degrees.

As several of these prisoners are unable to complete the whole programme of study whilst in prison, the donation of a laptop, which although of no further use to the company are nonetheless perfectly usable and of high enough spec to be of huge benefit in allowing prison learners to continue their studies on release.
